Real Injun

As a modern day American Indian-Native American, I have become acutely aware of efforts to pursue theories in Human Migration to a common Ancestor. This is an integral foundation to build upon an Idea that Native Americans/Aboriginals of this Continent are somehow the descendents of Nomadic Travelers. The Theory consists of a Land Bridge of Ice that connected the America Land Mass to Asia.

I have a few issues with this Theory and I will discuss them in a systematic flow. First, the Paleolithic Man was a Hunter Gahtherer and he followed the herd of his prey. The Evidence that support mass migration of any mammal taking a Bering Strait Ice Age route to North America is almost completly non-existent. Now many scientists have been more Optimistic about the facts, but too claim a large number of roaming beasts made such a journey without actual physical evidence, is exactly why this Ideas definition remains a Theory.

Second, Let alone the Logistical circumstance of hundreds of thousands of Miles and un-habital conditions or the journey a human being can survive, the facts present a very tiny fraction that such a quest was even possible. For instance, in a Paleolithic Ice age sub-zero temperatures were the most unbearable circumstance.

Third, sustainable shelter did not exist. Even the Idea that a band of Nomadic Hunters followed a herd of Mammoths into a New Continent is for better than a less pundit word a, “Stretch.” No matter if they were very enthusiastic, a Human could only have traveled so far before needing Shelter. None existed and any argument the Traveler built one is even further speculative. The principle element in this case is time because the dynamics of a journey accompanied by a hunt to eat, shelter to rest and most importantly a survival instinct that would have definitely been exhausted.

The very reason this Theory has been implemented to replace  the truth is for a convenient reason.  There are those institutions that profit from claims to the Indigenous founding of this Nation. My Traditional teaching has been that we have been inhabitants to this continent before the concept of tracking Time. If any Group or Organization can theoretically replace actual history with this Land Bridge Theory, they can challenge my status as a First Nation member. Many people are unaware of motivations to do so because a thief that comes in the night, does not announce it.
